So many Roman Holiday parallels in 6.03 ♥

• Princes Ann / Queen B  ♥ Tiaras and Headbands
• Milk and crackers ♥ Energy Drink
• Princess Ann needs a sedative for her anxiety/panic, Blair needs an IV for dehydration.
• Hair in a bun ♥
• Sweet hugs ♥
• “What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency”.  

The way Princess Ann rested her head on Joe’s shoulder, and just fell asleep.  Blair, trusting Chuck to organize her show, and trusting him to take care of her.  

And there’s so much beauty and romance and sweetness between Chuck and Blair that it is hard to describe.  The implicit trust that was always there, since 1.07, when Blair said, “Guard my drink.”  Blair, one of the most powerful women on the UES allowing Chuck to take care of her, and to help her.  And of course, the quote about sweetness and decency in the souls of young men, from Miss Audrey.  How Chuck wouldn’t take advantage of Blair, the way he tucked her in, reminded me so much of when Joe lifted tiny Princess Ann and gently placed her on the bed.  The sweetness, the innocence, and all of the unspoken words.  Blairhappiness = cb being together in any capacity. ♥

C purring in B’s ear

Something I noticed rewatching :) 

1.08

B - From this moment forward, the events of last night will never be mentioned again, is that clear?

C - Not as clear as the memory of you purring in my ear, which I have been replaying over and over.

I love that Blair Waldorf, a WASP virgin queen had bad boy Bass pretty much under her little finger.  I looked for instances where B purred in C’s ear, but I mostly found the opposite (although they never did show us the limosex that happened “several times”). Blair purred to Nate in 1.01 (that was really quite amazing “Wanna do It. Noooow.”). But most of the time it was C purring to B.  I love that moment in 3.04. Chuck and Blair have more chemistry in a simple phone call than DB did having sex. :-) I love that Blair closes her eyes for a bit in 1.08 before she says, “Well erase the tape.” It’s like she’s replaying it too, in her mind. 

For Chuck, the girl he loves has always, only, ever been Blair.
