C purring in B’s ear

Something I noticed rewatching :) 

1.08

B - From this moment forward, the events of last night will never be mentioned again, is that clear?

C - Not as clear as the memory of you purring in my ear, which I have been replaying over and over.

I love that Blair Waldorf, a WASP virgin queen had bad boy Bass pretty much under her little finger.  I looked for instances where B purred in C’s ear, but I mostly found the opposite (although they never did show us the limosex that happened “several times”). Blair purred to Nate in 1.01 (that was really quite amazing “Wanna do It. Noooow.”). But most of the time it was C purring to B.  I love that moment in 3.04. Chuck and Blair have more chemistry in a simple phone call than DB did having sex. :-) I love that Blair closes her eyes for a bit in 1.08 before she says, “Well erase the tape.” It’s like she’s replaying it too, in her mind. 

For Chuck, the girl he loves has always, only, ever been Blair.

Scarlett: Cathleen, who’s that? That man looking at us and smiling. The nasty, dark one. He looks as if… as if he knows what I look like without my shimmy.

Rhett: I’m not asking you to forgive me. I’ll never understand or forgive myself. And if a bullet gets me, so help me, I’ll laugh at myself for being an idiot. ▲ Wear shades, Blair is shining! ▲

Chuck makes Blair glow, shine. After they hooked up, Nate notices that Blair is “She’s lighter, she’s happier… Ah, she’s just less Blair.” Chuck: “She does have a certain glow about her, doesn’t she?” (1.10) So I guess is Chuck’s merit.

Blair shines with Chuck, and he knows it because he believes in her savoir faire. “With your glow, Anne Archibald will beg you to be the face of her new foundation.” (4.09)

Everyone sees Blair shining whenever she thinks about her lover. She’s about to go to Chuck to tell him she wants to get back with him, and Dorota sees she’s happy of her decision. “You’re late.” Dorota: “And you’re glowing.” (4.18)

Chuck loves when Blair is happy, because she shines. And Chuck loves when Blair shines. It’s the Blair he loves the most. “When she’s with Louis, she shines… that’s the Blair I love.” (4.22)

▲ Princes, White Knights and Dark Princes ▲

Blair likes Royalty and White Knights. Yet she makes out with Dark Princes. Better, she always goes back to the dark side one way or another, despite she chose the good side first.

1.10 → Blair wants to go to her debut event with a Prince.
          “You looked hot on Prince Teodore’s arm today.”
Yet she chooses Nate in the end, who represents the good white knight.
2.01 → Blair would love to choose Chuck, but he doesn’t tell her his feelings so she ends up choosing Royalty again. Lord Marcus Beaton.
2.03 → Blair makes out with Chuck because she wants to, yet she chooses the Lord at the end as so confirm to herself that she’s satisfied with him.
2.22 → Gossip Girl herself claims that Blair has to choose between the White Knight (Nate) and the Dark Prince (Chuck). She chooses Chuck, but in the end she comes back to Nate.
4.02 → Blair chooses to go with Prince Louis to the gala, but in the end she chooses to go to Chuck that casually chose the name of Henry “Prince” for his fake identity. Yet she comes back to Louis at the end and they even kiss.
4.19 → Prince Louis Grimaldi is entitled to come back and he and Blair should get engaged. She will choose a prince over a Dark Prince again or this time Henry Prince will won? We can only wait.
